As Matchday three fast approaches for many teams across the club we imagine everyone is now back into the full swing of things. Training during the week, looking ahead to those fixture on the weekend, who have you got? who is the referee? The WhatsApp groups are starting to flood with questions, suggestions, meet up times or just general opinions on whats to come.
But one thing sometimes we can forget when your in that moment of excitement and anticipation, is the role we all play in Safe Guarding and our active duties as Coaches, Carers and Parents to continue raising awareness across the entire club as well as the games we attend and participate in.
This is why the FA and the NSPCC have teamed up once again to promote this weekends -
We as a club will once again be championing this initiative throughout this weekend and the remainder of the season. Attached to this Article you will find links out to the FA Website with a lot more detail, as well as FREE courses you can complete online to enable you to be up to date with the role you may play as a carer/parent. Over the next week or so you will see each captain within the club presented with the new "Play Safe" captains armband to help remind us all of how important safeguarding and the welfare of the children is on match day.
We would like to see as many members of Greenleas across this weekend and season helping spread the message that football is for everyone. It is a place where all participants can come and play safe as well as get any help or support that is needed.
